Success is...!

You cannot ask for Success without achievement
achievement without challenges
challenges without difficulties
Difficulties lead to Success
No difficulties implies no success but failure!

Now, do I really want success!?

Oh! My Little Flower...

Your dreams n mine reflect one colour
Wherever it is, life takes us together
Oh! my little flower...

Your heart n mine were destined to meet one day
Just like a flower is destined to bloom on a rainy day
Oh! my little fay...

Your sorrows are now mine, my joy is for you
Your eyes are my Sun, my moon too
Oh! my little cue...

World might say no, we remain together
Locked in your hands are mine, forever
Oh! my little partner...

Guide ke Gaane...!

For the past year or two, I’ve been hooked on to more of Guide and Aandhi than anything else! On a Sunday morning, when I switch on the music system, after scrolling start to end, the pointer goes back to Guide…

Aaj phir jeeniki tamanna hai might start with high notes right away but the Nightingale’s voice sets you on. It might be picturised on a girl trying to come out of her bonding, but the song doesn’t fail to get you connected.

Din dhal jaaye sounds like eternal and you might miss your vodka or a favorite single malt whisky and for sure would remember that love who didn’t turn up. Also reminds of uncle (my close frnd’s dad) who had sung it with so much poise.

Tere mere sapne comes close to heart as one of the most romantic songs ever written. Seems like this raga was also borrowed in another song in kannada sung and played by Dr. Rajkumar – baaLe prEma geete nalla nalle seridaaga - sounds very similar, yet different.

Gata rahe mera dil is another eternal duet with Kishore Da and Lata Di complementing each other like no other singing jodis ever. I’ve been listening to this song since my childhood and it’s grown from green, greener to greenest!

Sayya beimaan has more classical touch and well shot and makes a decent listening.

Yaha kaun hai tera sung by the legendary composer himself sounds like a philosopher singing his questions out to you. A lengthy but soothing piece!

Kya se kya hogaya tells me that there’s no one like Rafi. How much we miss that voice with such emotions, those soothing high notes and such romantic vibrancy.

As the player goes past this album, I get transformed from a dreamy world of melody. I might just switch it off for a while and be soaked in Guide for sometime until I get back to Aandhi later…
