On a misty morning, in a lush green lawn, a family of green grass woke up to Sun's rise! One grass looked up to the sky, saddened, wanting to be separated out of the family to be moved elsewhere…
The grass might have wanted to be a coconut tree
Or just break free
It wanted to grow tall
Not ready to accept the impossibility at all
The grass asked and asked, never realizing the impossibility of its wants. Thus it prayed…
'hey, I need not be a grass in this lawn
I can be better off than Sun'
Times flew as the grass grew old, but it never heard and none told…
How beautiful you look
To write you I shook
If you might be alone, none would care
While you're together, I can't stop to stare
As the poet wrote verses unending, grass didn't know its beauty while it asked to be someone else.
The grass saw its ending, poems would be written on and on and forever…
