I went to temple and mosque
Dargah and church, et al
I came back to where I was
I climbed the tree, crawled on branches
Till the tip of it, ending at the leaf
I plucked the fruit and fell along with it
I drowned in the sea, touched the earth
Held my breath, opened my eyes
I drank and threw
I jumped from height, and sped far
Reached jungle, drained desert
I picked a sand and wondered
I saw and heard, and then looked and listened
I touched and felt
I held and left
I said I’ve found
And then I couldn’t see or hear
Touch, feel or gather
And I had come to where I was
