I’m waiting, like I always did...
We’re separated time and again, unwilling
And the time passes by, away and far across
Out of sight, never out of mind or heart
Dry days crawl through, seasons revolve
And then, I could’ve said the ‘I miss you’
Or posted on my timeline or your wall
Tagged an old pic, or sobbed a tweet
But then, I choose to do what I do coz I can’t shut or shove
these thoughts
And then, we meet
I show you this, and look beneath your smile
We’re together, back to our cores for just a while
Until another day
That manipulates and lures us to drift and depart
And then, I’ll come
back to seek a pen
Look across the bowing branches, sneezing with the wind
I go back to scribbling an ode
But then, I fold that leaf that peeked and hide
For another while...
